What does God want to give you today?
How often do we wake up asking for things? I would venture to say that we either ask and half-heartedly expect to receive or we don't ask at all because we do not understand the truth that our Creator actually wants to give of Himself every day to us. I was challenged to ask God what He wants to give me today....to be honest, it was hard even saying that....the Creator wanting to give me something, at my request? It was hard to imagine....
Over the last 2 years, I have come to believe this truth. In the world of which I have lived the last 18 years, the focus that was spoken from most mouths around me, was to "work" to be accepted, or "do"ing rightly. This almost killed me. Thankfully as I have become more free over the last few years I am being transformed from the inside out to just receive. This is Good News. To just receive? Receive what? Oh yeah, life. Hummm??? What does that look like, I ask myself. In my world, it looks like a cow, that gives milk....whaattt? A cow? Sure is.......Did you know that a cow carries a piece of the nature of God? She wakes up and has milk for her and her household and mine as well. Yahweh did that. He said, I want to give to my humans so I will give them a cow that make lots of milk that bring and sustain life.
What else, I ponder??? Oh yeah, my husband, WOW! Now that is a gift from Yahweh. Strait from heaven above. He speaks Gods nature into me every day as he reads the word over me. His name literally means "Yahweh saves. Saves what??? Life. Everything about the nature of God saves life. Joshua was given to me to help save my life. Wow, what a concept to behold.
The bible is full of accounts of God giving to us. In Yeshua's teachings he tells us multiple times to ask and it will be given.
Here one example: James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him / her "ask" Elohim, who gives to all freely and with grace, and it will be given to you.
What does your Creator want to give you today? Ask him. He waits every day to express His nature through us by gifts He has waiting for us.
How do we know it is the voice of God?????
James 3:17 The wisdom from above, (that you are given when you ask),
is firstly truly perfect (tamim- sound, unblemished, mature, fully developed)
then peaceable (without chaos)
gentle ( meek, the opposite of anger - Yahweh is not an angry God waiting to punish and his council will not be that either)
obedient (it will always follow His own LAW)
full of mercy and good fruits ( relieves suffering and brings life)
not partial ( Yahweh warns us to not show favorites or elevate one above the other. His council, to help guide you, will not do that either.)
without hypocrisy (outwardly one way, inwardly another- Yahweh will never speak death, say diminishing words, or ask you to do or be something you are not)
James 4:2-3 You fight and strive, and you have nothing, because you do not ASK...
You ask , and do not receive, because you do not ask sincerely, you ask in order that you may satisfy your lust.
You do not have to speak a lot....what do you believe you are in need of????
I would submit that our Creator knows what we need before we even ask.
Matthew 6:7-8 When you pray (talk to God), do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. Do not be like them for your Father knows what you need before you ASK .
If you will ask God, he will tell you what you need- your daily bread. If you ask Him what He wants to give you, rather than asking for what you want, then you will receive exactly what you NEED for this day!
Yahweh, Abba, God, what do you want to give me today????
