Hearing The Voice of Truth for the Homestead

Most days we wake up with our "to do" list created for us based off of the previous days progress. While we can get a lot done this way, we often go to sleep each night feeling like we haven't done enough and that we did not accomplish what we should have in order to feel successful. This continues day after day as the chores never end when you have animals or plants to take care of.

This week, I would like to share with you about hearing The Voice of Truth and how that can help you on the homestead. I know this voice personally as My Creator, Lover of my Soul, and Redeemer, or Yahweh (God of the bible). Some know this internal influence by many different names. I will refer to my guide as The Voice of Truth. Truth always brings life to death and clarity to chaos. Regardless of what we call; it/ him/ she/ them; The Voice of Truth is a source outside of us that desires to come to us, give to us, have us receive, contain and then overflow to the world around us. As He leads us, perhaps we will get a whole series of conversations between us and Truth that will guide us into ALL truth about why we are doing what we are doing and what we need to do, just this day, to experience His fullness in life.

Topics I share on these post are created from information I have personally walked through and learned from Truth's guidance, other people, as well as my wayward paths that have been my most painful instructor.

My biggest foe in my life stemmed from believing that I had to " do" something to be worth the space on the dirt where I stood. My greatest freedom has come from learning how to "be" rather than "do", and learning that I already "am" rather than I "need to become". Hearing The Voice of Truth about this is the key that transformed my belief, which led to transformed thinking, that led to purposeful direction with the most fruitful time spent ( my daily task and actions).

What does this have to do with the homestead? If I were to ask each of you "Why" you are doing what you are doing, most would answer: food sovereignty, health, lifestyle, or preparing for the end of the world, lol. I have done it for all of these as well as: to change the world, to end world hunger, to restore the land, to make a better place for the animals, and the list goes on..... Can you relate?

Hearing The Voice of Truth helps us get focused on what He needs done on the earth rather than what we think we need to "do" on the earth to make a difference or receive what we are after. We already have the ability but most of us hear our own voices over His. As I am writing, I am asking, "what do you want them to know today?". The response: " I want them to know that I love them, like I love you and they can and already have been hearing My Voice." Well that's good news!!!

So let's begin the process to flesh that out. If we have already been hearing His voice then that means we are not listening or His voice is getting drowned out by other voices. Learning to discern His voice over ours, others, or the enemy of our soul is the key to a purposeful journey in life and will save us soooooooo much time, money, and heartache on the homestead.

Learn to hear:
I have read an account, of the great teacher Yeshua, that taught his disciples to "ask, and it will be given to you; knock, and it will be opened to you. For each one that asks receives, and the one that seeks finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened." Many of us do not have the habit of asking, do not know who to ask, or are scared to ask. I will walk with you and share what The Voice of Truth imparts to me! Creator of heaven and earth, would you open the spiritual ears and eyes of the readers of this blog. We are searching for answers and You are the only one with Truth. Thank you that you are everywhere all the time an you desire for us to hear you.

Today I will share with you with your first exercise that one of my instructor taught me:
1. Raise your right hand. Place your hand on the part of your body that you use to make decisions with.....( some point to head, some point to heart, some point to belly)
2. Now, raise your right hand. Ask the Voice of Truth, Love, or God where He resides inside of you and place your hand there. This will vary.... you might hear a word, or feel something, or sense something) If you have gotten a life giving response or comforting feeling, that is the Voice of Truth.
At the beginning of this practice you might hear, sense, or feel a negative word, statement, or feeling. In short, that is the description in the book of Hebrews 4:12 that states that "the WORD" of Yahweh is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow and bones, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. We will discuss what this is more in a later post.
The Voice of Truth Always speaks life or love that produces restoration (rest) and clarity to chaos. If you hear or sense something that produces fear, anxiety, confusion it's not the Voice of Truth.
3. Keeping your hand in that part of your body, take a few moments to ask "What do you want to say to me today".
At the beginning, you might hear crazy responses so learning to rightly divide the responses is how we grow and mature through this process. Sometimes we have blocks that prevent us from hearing His voice and might need help with that.
